About David Sands
Musical Creative
A talented bassist with over 30 years of experience in composition, recording and performance of 4 string electric and acoustic bass instruments, David Sands is currently involved with two ensemble projects, "Colonels of Truth" and "Lucid Rays" but is always open to taking on new projects. I am available for hire: sessions, projects and collaborations. I have a home studio with ProTools and outboard equipment and can create files ready to drop into any work in progress. Snads Metal Music is my publishing company and I often work to place projects in TV & film.
Lucid Rays
The latest project, driving Bay Area rock band Lucid Rays is currently finishing up their 3rd studio album. Produced and recorded by Kenya and Oscar Autie at El Cerrito Studios, the band is hoping to release in early 2024. Look here for postings when it drops!
Colonels of Truth
Partnered with punk rocker Robert Scott Mueller and country trucker Rick Santos, the project plays an eclectic mash-up of country-punk-rock reminiscent of the Flying Burrito Brothers... sorta. The COT perform all around the Bay Area and SoCal at any venue they can.
